Sometimes you want to give a gift. Sometimes you want something for yourself. Sometimes you have almost everything you need, but not quite. The Average Joe Artisan Bread Kit line now includes several products to help you Spread The Bread, whether it's for someone else or for yourself.
A good option for a friend, family member, or work colleague. It includes everything needed to make artisan bread - kitchenwares, ingredients, and cookbook - presented tastefully as a gift basket.
Another good gift option! It includes everything that the GIFT edition BASKET contains, but it's packaged for easy wrapping and/or shipping.
If you want to bake artisan bread yourself, the COOK'S edition is probably the one for you. The idea behind it is that experienced cooks already have measuring cups, a mixing bowl, etc., so they don't need all those kitchenwares. What do they need? They need an inexpensive way to learn and enjoy the process, which the COOK'S edition provides via ingredients, the cookbook, and a couple of baker's tools that most people don't have.
This bread is *not* made from a proprietary mix, and you don't have to get refills from me (I refuse to play that game!). But some people prefer the convenience, and I want to make it easy so that they bake often.
If you already have a stock pot, dutch oven, or casserole dish that is big enough and can withstand oven temperatures, you don't need the BREAD pot. However, sometimes COOK'S edition buyers have everything-but-the-pot, so we offer this one (the same one that's included in the GIFT editions) as an inexpensive and works-like-a-charm option.
